Some Thoughts:

In our minds, probably we all would have thought at some or the other point of our lives, “What if, I would have taken that alternate career path”. Sure, many of us are passionate about our work, and few have turned their passion into work.

As the saying goes, “Choose a job you love, you’ll never have to work a day in your life” – Confucius.

May not be a business use case – but it triggers the thought “Can we help create the next generation of society, that nurtures passion”.  Can we make our children practice “Cognitive Learning” -> “Building a learning path that suits an individual”? Can we leverage off data science to experiment and achieve desirable results. Can we create a happier society? Can we make our children love what they do with their lives in times to come? More importantly can we leave a lasting impact? Can we fundamentally improve the “Learning Experience”?

And the Case:

Use of data science to come up with patterns from historical sample data of adults in terms of education, occupations and satisfaction level along with other factors such as, interests, career transitions, educational transitions etc. [we can incorporate many other factors]. The sample study will help form our hypothesis “Whether the sample population is passionate about their work or not”.

On-going observational study to be carried out on students & learners, applying concepts of advanced statistics, machine learning and deep learning to form patterns involving the factors such as age, behavioral factors, environmental factors, personal factors, exposure to different subjects and disciplines to establish the hypothesis in terms of an individual’s preferable learning methods and subjects.

While we can draw parallel with the historical data, and have better understanding of the current observations, the results from current study will help us navigate an individual towards his/her area of interest, building an custom learning path and helping nurture his/her passion.

To conclude, with the advancement of technology it’s need that our work should gravitate towards a greater purpose, solving a bigger problem and creating the next generation of passionate individuals who would love what they do, would have better work-life balance in this fast changing world and would always find time for the things they care about.
