NFL + Pizza + Data Science
A national pizza chain always runs sales during NFL playoff games. The sales are presented in the form of discounts, i.e. 20, 30, 40 % off or free items.
The CEO has challenged the CIO and IT team to find out if the sales are really working to increase the amount of goods sold, OR if the chain is really losing money because they would sell the same amount of pizzas during an NFL playoff weekend.
The question is how much do the sales incentives impact the sales in general and the sales that are being taken away from other chains.
