Davos 2027: A Free Guide to Side Events, Tech Houses, and Who's in Town

By: Kate Strachnyi
WEF week in Davos runs January 18 to 22, 2027, and if you're heading there, the hard part is figuring out where to actually be. The side events, summits, and company houses are spread across a dozen websites, Luma pages, and LinkedIn posts, and many of them don't announce their lineups until late November or December.
I spent Davos week 2026 running between sessions, houses, and dinners, and I kept wishing there was one place that pulled it all together. So I built one, and it's FREE: davos.datacated.com.
What's in the Davos 2027 guide
The guide is a simple, shareable page for anyone going to Davos during WEF week, and it covers the things people usually ask me about:
- Pick a day: a day by day view of side events with sign-up links, so you can see how busy each day looks and plan around it.
- Tech company houses: where the houses were last year, since most 2027 plans get announced in December, plus a reminder that many are invite only, so it helps to request a meeting early.
- Secure Hotel Badge: what it is, why venues inside the security perimeter like the Belvédère need one, and how the December deadline for names works.
- Know before you go: practical notes, like the fact that the Annual Meeting itself is invite only while most houses along the Promenade don't need a WEF badge.
- Submit an event: if you're hosting something, or you found an event that's missing, you can send it in and I'll add it.
I update the guide as new events get announced, so it's worth bookmarking and checking again in late November and December when most house lineups come out.
Join the Davos community
The part I'm most excited about is the Davos community. It's a free members space for data, AI, and tech people going to Davos, and it lets you:
- Create a profile: share which days you'll be in Davos, who you're hoping to meet, and the topics you care about.
- See who's in town: find other members who overlap with your days, which makes it a lot easier to set up coffees and meetings before you land.
- Post on the board: ask questions, share events you're going to, and swap tips on hotels, transport, and badges.
- Message other members: reach out to people directly inside the community.
I approve every request so the group stays useful, and your email stays private. If you're going to Davos, request to join here.
Events to put on your calendar now
- Your Davos 2027 Checklist webinar: a free session with Mark Turrell of unDavos and Alexander Widegren of Swedish Lunch at Davos on Tuesday, November 3, from 16:00 to 17:00 CET (10:00 to 11:00 ET). It's a GREAT way to get oriented if this is your first Davos. Register on Luma.
- Davos Catalyst AI Summit 2027: January 12 to 15, 2027, at the Rätia Center in Davos Platz, the week before WEF week. DATAcated is a media partner, and you can apply to attend here.
A few tips from last year
Here are a few things I'd tell a friend going for the first time:
- Sign up early: popular side events fill up fast, and many houses approve guests from a list, so register as soon as links go live.
- Plan your days by location: most of the action happens along the Promenade, and walking between venues in the snow takes longer than you think, so group your sessions by where they are.
- Leave room for the hallway: some of my best conversations last year happened between sessions, so don't book every hour.
- Plan your transport: I stayed outside of Davos last year and took the train in each day, which worked well, but give yourself extra time in the mornings.
See you in Davos
I'll be on the ground in Davos from January 18 to 21, covering the week for DATAcated. If you'll be there too, join the community and connect with me on LinkedIn so we can find a time to meet.
